The Shrimpton Couture Archives
- This is the all white silk chiffon version of Look 16 in the Cruise 2010 collection
- Under the creative direction of John Galliano
- Made of a ivory silk chiffon and meant to be transparent from the bust down. You could add something underneath if you wanted it to be more opaque
- The chiffon is gathered horizontally around the bust and there is a built-in inner light support. A wide panel of chiffon can be draped down and over the shoulder or gathered up on top of the shoulder.
- The skirt falls from under the bust in two layers of silk chiffon. The top layer wraps over and around the inner layer. The back is cut longer than the front so it trains out behind you.
- The bodice is fully lined in silk and the rest is unlined. It closes with a hidden set side zipper.
- I see one tiny nick in the fabric near the vertical edge of the skirt. If this bothered you, your seamstress could easily eliminate it by taking that edge in a bit. It is otherwise appears to have been unworn and in excellent condition.
